I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Inside Columbia Magazine (Columbia, MO) in Mar 2011
Interview
Had interview with publisher and editior-in-chief, interview was fine for the most part but publisher asked several personal questions, such as religious belief and if I were married, in which the editor-in-chief had to ask him to stop. Felt uncomfortable for a few moments but I needed the job, and after which the work situation was just fine.

What is your favorite art period and how does it inspire your design work?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Inside Columbia Magazine
Interview
Quick to follow-up, and quick in-person interview with the editor in chief. I was asked about my educational projects and other elements on my resume. Interviewer laughed at my very reasonable and negotiable salary requirements and told me I would never make that much in this industry. I've done my research, so I was very confused about this remark. I was told I would hear back about the job in a couple weeks. After three weeks, I sent a direct follow-up email asking whether it had been filled and never received a response. Very unprofessional and insulting.
