JPMorgan Chase & Co Software Engineer interview questions

Only 1 round of technical interview questions after passing resume scanning and recruiter phone calls. There were 3-4 interviewers during the call. Each interviewer gave questions one by one. Initially, they asked me some OOP questions and then asked me to write a simple SQL query based on the requirements they gave. After that, I solved 2 simple algorithmic questions about removing duplicates from string and finding all prime numbers from range n. After that talked about projects that I participated in and my role in these projects.

Standard interview process. Call with hiring manager, technical interview, cultural questions, etc. going in person for final round. They were adamant about making sure I can come into the office 3 times a week.

It was easier as we were apprentices, I showed my project that I have done in school to the team and they asked questions about it. There were a few questions about getting to know me personally and my technical skills.

Never made it to the final round of the interviewing process, so it's hard to describe the full interview process. Basic online screen questions and then a coding challenge that needs to be completed.

HR Review, 2 Techincal, 1 System Designs HR was extremely clumsy when it came to replies, and the entire HR process was all over the place. The interviews themselves were ok and always cut to the point to get the task done. JP Morgan needs to re-look into their hiring process and streamline the HR shebang, as that hurt the entire interview process. It's not a great start for anyone going through the mind stress because of HR especially when they are planning to work at a new company.

3 interviews and each was 1 hour long. Very easy however they did try to make the coding question much more difficult at least for me which they made me to do the problem as list.

1. Recruiter Call: simple process, just familiarise you with the interview process 2. Phone Screen: can depend on interviewer. Had one with 2 senior software engineers with no coding but asking super technical questions that require you to mug up answers from a coding book. Extremely irrelevant to an entry level swe position. 3. Panel Interview

Technical but meaningful. Programming questions but nothing out of the ordinary or extra challenging. Useful if you have product domain expertise. Depending on your pervious work experience your milage might vary

The steps included the application, pre-selection rounds, and the hackathon. Topics include general tech, interest in the firm, personal achievements, and past internships if any. The difficulty of the questions is about average.
