The interview process was great. They gave me the questions a few hours ahead of time, which was nice for me, and made the process less stressful.
I ended up accepting the position, but quickly moved on to a higher paying position that was closer to where I lived at the time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked about my background in social work, and what my career goals were. They also asked about any relevant trainings I had as well.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Janus Youth Programs (Portland, OR) in Jul 2017
Interview
I didn't know that it was going to be a group interview the first time. I walked into a room of three people. I was shaking, but they ended up being all pretty amazing and easy to interview with. If you don't have experience with homeless youth, or marginalized youth, it might be hard to answer some of the questions

Question 1
What would you do if a youth asked you about your personal life, i.e. sexuality, religion, political preference, etc?
Thanks for taking the time to review our interview process!
We are well aware that it may be discouraging having a long process associated with interviews.
We also appreciate how you mention the value of having an awareness of the population you may be working with (not all our programs work with homeless/runaway youth) and highlighting a basic boundary setting question as every one of our programs values this in an employee!
