      Executive Assistant Interview

      11 Jan 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Justworks

      Interview

I had a really great phone interview with the hiring manager and was set up with an in-person the following week. I was also sent some additional questions and an assignment. Companies that send assignments always raise red flags for me but I completed it because I was really interested in the position. The in-person was 2 hours long and I met with 5 people. I've had long interviews before so I knew what to expect but this one was very tedious. Many of the interviewers were unpleasant and everyone asked the same monotonous questions. I was exhausted by the end of it. This is not how you conduct these types of interviews. Either have everyone ask different interesting questions, have less people involved in the process or hold a panel interview. This position was also relatively new and many of the interviewers had no clue what my job duties would be or even who I would report to. One interviewer kept focusing on my degree and why I didn't go into that very niche field. Does this person not realize how difficult the job market is right now? I kept steering the conversation back to my experience and relevant skills but eventually gave up. It was irritating and very unprofessional. I was relieved when I received a rejection a week later. What a waste of time.

      Question 1

Teach me something you're passionate about for 5 minutes. (This was the only interesting question I was asked)

      Executive Assistant Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Justworks in Dec 2021

      Interview

INCREDIABLY UNPROFESSIONAL ! I met with numerous people from JustWorks and it is clear they are not all on the same page in what they need or want. I interviewed for an Admin role that took a few weeks, they eventually went with another candidate (which is fine, it happens !). But they reached out to me again that they still would like to consider me for another position. I accepted to interview and go through the process that again took a few weeks. Everyone was great until I got to the COO, he was a complete jerk and made several comments throughout our conversation that had me confused as to why I was even doing this. When I received the email from HR the following week that I was not selected, I could not hold back and had to express my experience. Well, HR had no problem forwarding my email to the COO because he reached out in a response that was a backhanded apology. I thought this was completely inappropriate on HRs part. Wait it gets better. I was contacted by them AGAIN for an Admin Role. They apologized a lot for my past experience and promised I would get the salary I wanted and that they really wanted to bring me on board. I said ok AND NEVER HEARD BACK! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Also, it is unnecessary to have a 3-4hr interview process. I had to take off of work twice just to waste my time in this process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked a lot of behavioral and situational questions.
