I met with smart people and had several very good conversations. Kentik is in an interesting space with unique technical challenges, which made the role appealing.
Unfortunately, the interview process was too long and too fragmented, spanning about six weeks with too many rounds. It was also often unclear what the role was truly meant to address, which made the process feel more confusing than it should have been.
The recruiter was personable and responsive when I asked for updates, and did provide some helpful context. However, I was told I was a very strong candidate for future roles, then later received no response after expressing interest in another open position that appeared to be an excellent fit.
Overall, I was impressed by the people and the problem space, but the hiring process felt overly drawn out, unclear, and unnecessarily difficult to navigate. I was very interested in working at Kentik and have substantial industry experience, but despite my best efforts could not make any progress.
