I applied online. I interviewed at Leapsome in Aug 2022
Interview
Overall process took 1.5 months for me. It involved following steps -
1. Initial Call with HR
2. Technical Interview with Engineering Manager
3. Take Home Assignment
4. Culture Fit Interview
5. Interview with Cofounder
Take Home Assignment had a Git repository to work on where I had solve an already raised issue and create a PR for that. Also, there was an already open PR which had to be reviewed. Apart from that, there was a product case study to be done.
All other rounds are pretty self explanatory.
Overall interaction with the team was pretty good, except the one with Cofounder. He was constantly dropping off from the call and closing the call for me as well in the process because he had bad internet. Given a person who is cofounder and is supposed to be hiring a senior engineer, he should have sorted out his internet issues. This created some communication gaps at times. Eventually, we had to turn off the video during the call and hope that the rest of the interview went on fine.
Rating the experience as Negative because, after spending almost 2 months in the process of interview, the applicant deserves to get better feedback instead of "we decided not to proceed with your application process as we're going forward with other candidates". I don't know when will companies start understanding the importance of feedback they give to their candidates.
