I have a background in the corporate recruiting world so I know how it works. I spoke with a Recruiter on the phone first, and then had a video interview with another senior level Recruiter. I was told I would hear back by the end of the week, and I sent a routine follow up email after my interview. I did not hear anything at all by the end of the week, so I sent another follow up email. Another week went by and I still had zero follow up after taking time out of my current work schedule to interview. I sent a third follow up email and finally got a very short response about them moving forward with other candidates. I work in this industry, so I know I would have been completely ghosted had I not followed up for a third time. I completely understand not moving forward with candidates, however ghosting and zero follow up after someone completes an actual interview is very unprofessional. Any type of response would have been fine, even if they had not made a decision yet, but I received no reply whatsoever to my follow up emails.
