The manager was real nice and so kind. It was a phone interview. I live elsewhere, and am moving to the area. I love the brand and it seemed like a great place to work.
I have over thirteen years working in luxury. I have worked at one luxury store nearly the entirety of my retail career. I made it from the first interview to the second.
The second interview went well. I didn't hear back. I kept calling, but I never received a word. I did a final contact.
The manager told me that she loved my attitude and prior work experience. Shs said that i was a breath of fresh air and what she was looking for. She said they ended up hiring another associates friend.
I hold her in the highest regards and she really was a lovely person. It seemed like this whole process is based off favoritism rather than who is the best candidate for the position.
She said she would give me a reference to the store in Soho. I am a little apprehensive because I feel that the same thing that happened here would happen in Soho.
The company needs to hire the best candidate for the position. Someone who matches the energy of the store and understands the bare backbone of luxury.
I will apply, but I feel that the same thing that happened here would happen in Soho. Do better and hire the right candidates.
