HR phone screen first, then manager interview via Microsoft Teams, and then one day on site interview with several groups. Presentation of previous work was required. Pretty quick transition between these steps.
For question asked, majority of the teams asked about tech details, which was great. One person took a list of BQ and chose to ask those from the list . Yes, a list, a printed list.
From the questions asked and the talk, it seemed they were still under reconstruction and behaved in chaos. Briefly, the hiring manager asked about the skills and experience according to the job description, which is normal. The other scientists asked questions quite far away from what required on the JD. Everyone seemed like to have their own version of job description.
For a bioanalytical scientist, I had experience with analytical flow, micro flow, nano flow LC/HPLC/UPLC, triple-quad, QTOF, Orbitrap, FTICR mass spec, dealt with tissue, cells, blood, urine, plant sample preparation. And I did not get an offer and the reason they gave was I cannot adapt to their pace quickly. Really wonder what people they brought in.
