I applied online. I interviewed at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals (Saint Louis, MO) in Sept 2025
Interview
HR phone screen first, then manager interview via Microsoft Teams, and then one day on site interview with several groups. Presentation of previous work was required. Pretty quick transition between these steps.
For question asked, majority of the teams asked about tech details, which was great. One person took a list of BQ and chose to ask those from the list . Yes, a list, a printed list.
From the questions asked and the talk, it seemed they were still under reconstruction and behaved in chaos. Briefly, the hiring manager asked about the skills and experience according to the job description, which is normal. The other scientists asked questions quite far away from what required on the JD. Everyone seemed like to have their own version of job description.
For a bioanalytical scientist, I had experience with analytical flow, micro flow, nano flow LC/HPLC/UPLC, triple-quad, QTOF, Orbitrap, FTICR mass spec, dealt with tissue, cells, blood, urine, plant sample preparation. And I did not get an offer and the reason they gave was I cannot adapt to their pace quickly. Really wonder what people they brought in.

Question 1
What kind of instruments did you use? What kind of samples did you work with? What kind of social work/community work do you do?
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals (Raleigh, NC) in Jun 2025
Interview
Had two interviews. First with HR and it went well. Second with the team (hiring manager, HR, some engineers). That went well also. Was told there would be a lull period before I heard again. That was more than a month ago. Even sent a follow up email with nothing. Maybe they're slower in their process? But ghosting isn't a good sign. I really enjoyed speaking with them and learning about the role more. I still believe it's a good fit, and would entertain another interview if they reach out.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals in Oct 2024
Interview
Overall, it was a smooth process with consistent communication but there were several interviews which seemed to be a bit much. The recruiter was based in Ireland and very professional and nice.

Wanted to get to hear about me and my experience. There wasn't a specific interview style or format used which was awesome.
