I submitted my application on the Meijer website and the next day received a request for a phone screen. I then had to schedule the phone screen and get approved (??) for the phone screen. The person interviewing me was 10 minutes late. They asked very standard interview questions. What interests you about the job? Tell me about yourself? Etc...I don't have any issues with HR phone screens before the real interview, but maybe get someone who actually acts like they're paying attention. The person interrupted me and was clearly not really paying attention to anything I was saying. I received notice via Workday a week later that they were pursuing different candidates. Frustrating because I have a very specific skillset that pertains to this role, and I don't really think I was given a fair chance to speak with someone who would understand that.
