      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Melaleuca (Idaho Falls, ID) in May 2008

      Interview

They flew me into town and set me up in a nice hotel. I spoke with several IT staff and took a couple of tests. Generally the interview process is pretty good and everyone was very nice and professional. You meet with HR, then IT, then HR again. Expect to spend a whole day there. They cover everything and even set you up with a realtor to show you around town. Probably the best interview experience I ever had. Too bad the job itself hasn't worked out.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Melaleuca

      Interview

They asked a lot of these types of questions... Tell me about a time (or experience) when you failed. What experience at your current work helped you be successful? What are your strengths and weaknesses? How do you handle stressful situations? Can you provide us with an example of a time you had a challenge and were able to overcome that challenge? Tell me about a time you went above and beyond Give me an example of when you received outstanding service What is your favorite failure? How would you design and query a database for this case study? Share with me a time when you made a significant impact in your prior role? They asked what the one stellar thing that a past employer would say I had accomplished. How do you build community knowledge and then share that knowledge with your team? How do you deal with conflict with a teammate? Why are you interested in Melaleuca? What are your strengths? Your weaknesses? Biggest accomplishment What were some of the projects you have worked on in the past? Explain what you can bring to our company? If a user is having network connectivity issues how would you troubleshoot this? After a written winderlic test I interviewed with 2 separate people asking more behavioral questions, then a final interview with those who I would be working with. All went well and the last interview they pretty much told me to expect an offer in a few days... 3 weeks later they got back with me to let me they are going with someone else. I was disappointed, but I'm guessing they didn't want to pay me close to what I was currently getting. I would recommend practicing the winderlic test in written format because the online versions felt much easier.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Melaleuca (Idaho Falls, ID) in Oct 2017

      Interview

Visited with the representatives at the career fair. Gave them my resume and did a quick initial screening interview with someone from HR right there. About 2 months later, I received an email to set up a phone interview. I did an initial phone interview. Then a second phone interview which was a technical test asking questions about SQL and databases. Nothing overly complex. They then arranged to for an in-person interview at their global headquarters in Idaho Falls. The on-premise interview process takes all day. They start by giving you an IQ test, I believe it is the Wonderlic test. Then There is a tech panel that interviews you and has you demonstrate on the white board your technical skills. I was asked to design an entity relationship diagram, and then write SQL queries based off the ERD. Following that interview, I met with the director of the department and was interviewed by him. Overall the process was positive. They took a long time between my initial screening at the career fair, and my first phone interview. The tech panel is a very technical interview and is designed to challenge you.

Have to take weird test they think determines aptitude ( one of the questions was what is the 11th month) its all about speed, just practice the test online. If you score well on that and have a high GPA then you start interviews which for me were all non technical questions.
