The first step was a brief (20-30 minute) screen with an internal recruiter. Formatting and content was typical of this type of interview, i.e., probing on why I was interested in the position, my familiarity with NEMA, relevant professional experience. While the interview went well, and the recruiter was pleasant, I never heard from her again. This was despite her clarifying next steps and timeline for the recruitment process. Multiple follow-up emails inquiring about the status of my candidacy (at one and two weeks after the initial interview) went unanswered. While the interview itself was enjoyable, the professionalism with which NEMA treated me as a candidate left something to be desired. I would not apply for other positions with this company in the future, given this experience.
