The hiring process for Payless is pretty simple and straight-forward; all you need to do is apply online and take the test and pass it. If you don't pass it or you are "in the yellow" which means you did okay, but not as good as "green" you won't be hired.

I would say the most difficult for me was the general questions on how to treat customers if they need help, since this was only my second job and my first retail job.

The manager had no idea how to conduct an interview and was super awkward. When I asked what the pay was she refused to answer and straightup dodged the question.

Very straightforward, casual, and included typical questions. Met with the store manager and interviewed for about 45 minutes, received a call back and offer the next day, then started about a week afterwards.
