I first had a phone interview in August and the recruiter was not pleasant at all. The tone was very condescending and no personality. It felt though as if a judgement was made within the first 3 minutes of the conversation. I was turned off because usually recruiters have a welcoming personality as they're the first line of an impression for the company. The interview ended, I thin much of it other than "well, it looks like Peloton is not for me."
A few weeks later, I received an email from a different recruiter requesting an interview. I thought "yeah, I knew I wasn't crazy. That other recruiter was on that stuff." This interview was very pleasant. This recruiter had positive energy and personality. She created a new face for Peloton. She informs me that someone from the department will call me for another phone interview. Cool. A week later, I get a call from the manager from that department. It's going alright, he then ask me about my SaaS experience. I'm a bit thrown (internally, didn't let it show externally), because no where on the job requirements did they mention SaaS, not to mention Peloton isn't paying SaaS experience money. I was also a bit concerned, that the person interviewing only had 3 months in. I then get an email from the recruiter telling me that they're moving in a different direction and they wish the best of luck blah blah blah. I reply asking why. They reply a week later (only because I had to ask someone I know that works there to check in) informing me that it was my lack of SaaS experience. As stated earlier, the job requirements don't list SaaS implementation nor does the salary reflect SaaS experience.
