I interviewed at Peter G. Peterson Foundation (New York, NY)
Interview
Typical behavioral questions and the second round had a policy research focus. So it became important to have experience with a research process. There were three interviews in total: one with the senior associate, one with the VP, and one HR screen.

Question 1
How would you go about writing a 2-5 page research paper on a policy issue?
I applied online. I interviewed at Peter G. Peterson Foundation (New York, NY) in Mar 2024
Interview
Two Rounds of interviews. The first was a 30 minute behavioral with the senior associate. Some technical questions on policy research process were asked, but nothing too surprising. The second round is with the VP of research who asks some similar, mostly behavioral questions. There is also an HR screen.
Networking was not a part of the application process.

Question 1
How would you go about writing a 3-5 page policy paper?
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Peter G. Peterson Foundation in Jan 2023
Interview
There were 7 interviews in total from the HR firm they hired to the EVP stage and an assessment phase. They spend most of the time interviewing without spending enough time on what they want in the position/work culture. At times, the interview questions were inappropriately invasive going into personal. When asked about their work culture, they were either indoctrinated and said statements like, "I've been here for 20 years and we want to keep this culture" or evasively answering the questions with statements like, "At the end of the day, it's a job and a job is a job." They are also slow in their communication turn around which is challenging and frustrating for the interviewee's side. It is understandable why they have such low score on glassdoor which was 1.6 from at least November 2022 to the time of submitting this review March 2023.
