The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Phenom (Philadelphia, PA)
Interview
So this company offers products that are designed to give a job applicant an overall better experience (among other products).
I suppose my favorite part of the interview process was being totally ghosted by the recruiter. And this was after I had a great interview with them. Followed by 2 other great interviews. One of the interviews I had was a total and complete joke. The person who held the interview with me, in all honesty, should reach out to me and apologize for the highly unprofessional experience. I have never experienced an interview like that. In the first minute, I knew I was already being written off for something totally out of my control.
For being a company that started as a way to give candidates a better experience, and continues to sell that as a product, after this experience I am glad I was not given a job offer. There is no way I could have a healthy working relationship with the one person who interviewed me. No going back after that horrible 45 minutes.

Question 1
How did my interview process go from speaking to 4 people who had great things to say and then 1 who couldn’t give me the time of day?
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Phenom

Recruiter screen, sales ops screen, hiring manger screen, VP screen and then a final presentation to round off the process.
But don't expect the hiring manger to get back to the recruiter on time or even give accurate feedback. I was told my successes weren't recent enough yet if the hiring manager paid any attention or looked at my resume the feedback would be completely opposite. Extremely disappointed as this may have been the biggest red flag of anywhere I have interviewed with. I guess hitting all quotas up until 2023 isn't recent enough...... We are only 2.5 months into 2024. What better way to show a candidate you didn't pay attention or look at the resume.

4 individual calls with managers plus recruiter
I was very excited about the opportunity, since my
background aligns nicely with the industry.
The recruiter was decent and connected well with the first hiring manager and then … the biggest turnoff/rude/toxic manager was my 2nd interview. Wow … he was abrasive right off the bat, rude after every answer I would provide. I wouldn’t even finish a sentence before cutting me off and having some kind of remark. He was not open to me asking questions and he wouldn’t give a straight answer anyways. After the call I seriously debated even going on the 3rd and 4th call. He is someone who would have authority over the channel and I could already feel the toxic culture he exudes. I did talk to two other managers, who were very smart, open, and seemed genuine. After the rude call, I went back to this section of Glassdoor and low and behold read through a past applicant who had the same experience. I would not take this job and knew it within 2 minutes of the interview. It’s unfortunate but thankful for that interview. I would have had regrets down the line. Another warning … they preach this is a sales position (hunter, not farmer) and the rep will need to balance and they currently have issues with the past/currents reps around their role. I got to experience first hand the frustration of the technology the company provides. I must have received 40 plus continuous emails within 4 days to reschedule. This was a glitch in their software, it wouldn’t stop sending me wrong messages to reschedule. The recruiter said everything is confirmed and I had to ignore the constant emails. I’m sure its circumstances like this the sales reps encounter and field angry customers/customer experience.
I could have overlooked the faulty system, I’m sure it will be fixed in time .., unfortunately the toxic behavior is not such an easy fix.
