I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Pratilipi in Aug 2020
Interview
I applied through LinkedIn.
My first round of interview was scheduled in which Interviewer asked about one of my projects. I told him about my role and the work I did in the project. The interviewer then questioned about the algorithms used. I also told him about one of the optimizations which I made in my algorithm. I thought that he was convinced with my answers but he wasn't actually. The interview lasted for about 35 minutes.
Later, without scheduling any DSA round they rejected my application.
One advice which I would like to give Pratilipi team as a candidate, please don't make judgements based on a 35-40 minute round of interview. Plus, projects are meant to be discussed, there is always room for improvements in any project. Judging solely on the basis of those improvements isn't fair. Even companies like Google make advancements in their search engine continuously. That doesn't mean that people who worked on the very first version of search are not capable. They rejected me on the basis that "I have to improve upon different ways of analysing problems" (which I suppose they are talking from a project point of view because they never took my DSA round to judge problem-solving skills)
Overall I've no opinion of the interview since it was my first interview after 2019, so I don't know how other companies judge candidates. But afaik the HR did give me feedback which is appreciable as I heard most companies ghost candidates if they are rejected.
