      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at RingCentral (New York, NY)

      Interview

This will be the first negative review regarding an interview process I've ever written. It started when the recruiter scheduled me for a mid market AE role. We had the typical 30 minute first call - where it was clear the recruiter meant to pivot to the SMB role all along. I was very upfront the entire time about my limited amount of work time in my current mid market role, and my career history is on full display on my LinkedIn - so there should be no surprises as to my eligibility for the position I was told I was interviewing for. After declining the SMB opportunity, the recruiter came back and said the mid market managers were willing to interview me - which I was obviously happy to hear. My 2nd interview, which was with one of the mid market managers went well, and I was told I'd be moving to a third interview with the other mid market manager. The recruiter and I were on a texting basis at this point which I liked. She said Friday would work for the manager, but never offered a specific time. I assumed she would get back to me on that - she didn't. Flash forward to the next day and I get a call from the manager while I'm out eating lunch. I respectfully asked to reschedule, which he kindly obliged. I feel it's rarely good practice to point the finger on mishaps like these, so I didn't throw the recruiter under the bus; but who knows how much this might have affected his impression of me. The third interview also went well, and the manager was very friendly and down to earth. I asked for feedback at the end of the call, and he said I did well and that it would be his recommendation to move me forward. He also gave me a timeline of about a week. Well now it's been close to a month and I never heard anything back. I followed up 2x with a thank you email and also another email requesting an update after having waited 3 weeks. Still never heard anything. Bad business.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RingCentral (Denver, CO) in May 2023

      Interview

My resume was submitted by a Director at RingCentral. I had all the required skills for the job, yet I never received an email or phone call for an interview. Recruiters seem lazy.

Nothing. They couldn't even be bothered to write an email.

Good interview process. Completed 3 stages. Position was ultimately pushed to another quarter. They were respectful of my time and communicated quickly. I do hope to explore future opportunities with them at a later date.

      Interview

Lots of back and forth with corporate recruiter and multiple interviews back to back with sales leadership and team. The longest interview process I have ever experienced. The process was grueling.
