Process was structured and team was cooperative enough.
It was 3 step interview and the given task was totally job role related and the final stage discussion was also smooth, overall good.
I applied for a C#/.NET Developer position. After my CV was shortlisted, the company contacted me to discuss my current role, current salary, and expected salary. They then scheduled an online interview and provided a fixed time to join.
During the interview, there were two interviewers: one from HR and another who was a developer. The HR representative introduced me to the developer, who then started the technical discussion.
Initially, the developer asked me a couple of questions related to the .NET framework and C#. However, after that, the focus shifted toward frontend technologies. I was asked around 12–15 questions related to JavaScript and React.
I mentioned that I had applied specifically for a C# and backend-focused role. Despite this, the questioning continued to focus on frontend topics. This mismatch made the overall interview experience quite disappointing.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
One specific question the developer asked me was about C# and the .NET framework, such as explaining the difference between ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Core, and how dependency injection works in .NET.
However, after a couple of backend-related questions, most of the interview shifted toward frontend topics like JavaScript and React.
I applied online. I interviewed at Riseup Labs (Dhaka) in Oct 2025
Interview
I had applied for the Junior Python Developer position.
After they shortlisted my CV, they called me and asked about my current position, current salary, expected salary, etc, and asked me to schedule an online interview. They give a fixed time to join the online interview.
In the online interview, there were two people: one was HR, and the other was a Developer. The HR introduced me to the Developer. Then that developer started asking me questions. The developer asked me 2 questions about the Django Framework, then started asking me frontend questions. That developer asked me around 12-15 React and JavaScript-related questions. I told him I have applied for Python and backend roles, but he is still questioning me about frontend. That was a very bad experience.
