I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Salem Academy & College (Winston-Salem, NC) in Jun 2012
Interview
Relaxed, informal. Extensive correspondence and sending in syllabi, evaluations, etc. prior to the interview. This actually went on for a number of months. Met first at the campus which is lovely. The oldest women's institution in the US and in the middle of Old Salem. Then went to coffee shop to start the face-to-face interview in a more informal place. After many months of email correspondence and request for more and more documents (and then an initial phone interview), it seemed like I knew the interviewer already pretty well. Entire process was relaxed. Having said that, there certainly was a quality standard that the school seems to be pretty rigorous about.
