      Interview

Applied, was sent a 24 hr design challenge to complete, and then was sent an email to set up an interview. Due to other reviews and having other internship offers that were more aligned with me I did not move forward

      Interview

RUN!!! This company is a walking red flag and is making candidates jump through hoops all for an unpaid intern position. They post the same exact intern jobs every day on LinkedIn and close it at the end of the day. They are probably farming for followers for their main company page. First, they look at your application and then reach out via email with a design assessment that they want completed within 24 hours. This includes doing research, creating information architecture, creating a high-fidelity prototypes, and then a video presentation explaining your work. Then, they invite you for a 30 minute call with one of the founders, and finally an hour long call with both founders. One of the interviewers/founders Dante is incredibly condescending. During our conversation, he told me he spoke to about 100 other candidates and was extremely exhausted from conducting interviews all day. He told me to send him a thank you email so that he wouldn't forget about me, presumably to reject me. When I asked genuine questions, he would give snarky answers and this really turned me off from the whole company culture. If this is how they treat prospective employees, imagine how they treat their actual interns. Their interviewing process is a waste of time as it has been months and they clearly haven't hired anyone yet. They expect you to grovel on your knees for this mentor-less "internship" and refuse to pay you for your work (even though they will jump at the chance to tell you about their billionaire clients and how lucrative their business is). In short, there are much better opportunities out there with companies who will respect you throughout the interview process.
