The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Slalom in Jun 2022
Interview
Slalom recruiter reached out to me via LinkedIn. I was considered for a position in Munich, Germany, since they are opening a office there. At the beginning they were very responsive and I had four interviews with them.
The first one - standard call with recruiter, nothing special.
The second one - call with a director from London. It was about who are who, what do you want etc.
The third one - technical screening with a tech director.
The forth one - with one of the leaders in Munich office, since nobody (two directors) could find position for me (interesting).
After this, I got a call from the recruiter, with question about starting date and salary.
A week and a half after that I had a call with the recruiter to tell me they will pause the process, since they are opening a new office and the usual small talk.
An advice to all who will read this post - do not, I repeat do not waste your time with this "company".
They wasted more than 2 months on interview process.

GCP architect related technical questions.
I interviewed in 2021 and went through an initial Talent Acquisition screening, and then a “technical” interview, an interview with one of the senior leaders, and then an interview with the boss of the previous senior leader. It was fairly easy and the last interview was more the senior leader selling Slalom to me than a screening.
I made it to the second interview. First one was with a recruiter, the second was with a senior team member. Interviews were both very conversational and overall pleasant experience.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slalom (Sydney)
Interview
I recently had the pleasure of going through the interview process with Slalom Consulting in Australia, and I can honestly say it was one of the best candidate experiences I’ve had. From start to finish, the process was timely, professional, and a true reflection of the company's commitment to being "human."
The interviews themselves were informal and relaxed, yet with a level of challenge that made me feel excited about the potential opportunity. I could tell that the interviewers had done their research and were genuinely interested in getting to know me and my skills.
But what really stood out was the level of communication and attention to detail throughout the process. Simon, the Talent Aquisition Lead, kept me in the loop with emails, phone calls, and text messages in an extremely timely manner. I always knew where I stood and what the next steps were.
Overall, I think that Slalom has set the bar incredibly high when it comes to the candidate experience. From the interview process to the level of communication and professionalism, I was thoroughly impressed. I truly believe that many companies could learn from Slalom’s approach and emulate their commitment to creating a positive candidate experience.
Thank you for the opportunity and the great experience!
