      I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Snap (New York, NY) in Apr 2024

      Interview

      1) Phone screen 2) Interview with team manager 3) Interview with 4employees (2 on adjacent teams, and 2 on team I was interviewing for) The job was extremely misrepresented on the job posting as well as by the team manager in the second interview. It wasn't until the 5th out of 6 conversations that an employee currently on the team correctly explained what the role is actually going to be. Team manager replaced an interviewer on the final round of 4 at the last minute. The first time the manager seemed very excited about the interview and the second time she seemed miserable. The coordination of the interviews and prep materials provided were top notch. However the prep materials were virtually useless if you've ever been on an interview. They make it seem like you need to know the ins and outs of snap and that it's going to come up in the interview, but it never did. The prep materials felt more like an Ad for why Snap is so revolutionary. Mainly basic behavioral questions. Most of the questions were related to previous negative experiences, negative situations, and bad management, and how you handled said past negative situations. None of the questions that were posted on glassdoor were asked.
