Anonymous Employee in Los Angeles, CA

Interviewed with director, had to do a project with a scheme and mood boards. Generally wanted to know about portfolio and experience level. Offer took a bit of time to materialize.

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Austin, TX
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Soho House & Co (Austin, TX)
Open Hire was pretty straightforward, met with the head of the relative department we were applying for, fairly casual, not a lot of questions asked, seemed like lots of competition as i'm sure it's a pretty popular place to work
- Mostly just asking if we had any questions for the interviewer

Anonymous Interview Candidate in London, England
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Soho House & Co (London, England) in Aug 2023
Interview itself was a standard initial interview. They asked questions relating to my experience, why I had applied to Soho and a couple of competency-based questions. I didn't hear from them following my interview on outcome
- What risks would you expect Soho House to manage?

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I applied online. I interviewed at Soho House & Co
Poor communication. Generic rejection email template like you would expect after just applying, not after 3 interviews including a task on which I spent multiple days preparing. No feedback provided.
- Tell us about a time you had to deal with a difficult stakeholder

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Ciudad de Mexico
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Soho House & Co (Ciudad de Mexico) in Jun 2023
Received a recruiter email a week after applying to set up an initial 30 min call via Zoom. Had a chat with the recruiter on call and then made it to a second interview. No one continued the conversation and never received any type of follow-up communications. I am not expecting feedback because these days it seems to be "too much to ask" but at least send out a generic email to say you will not be moving forward, out of courtesy.
- How does your previous experience relate to this role? Are you fluent in Portuguese?

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Berlin
I applied online. I interviewed at Soho House & Co (Berlin)
I was interviewed by 3 different head of departments, it was fairly relaxed but I got the impression that the work environment is fairly toxic, they seemed extremely understaffed at the time of my interview and were downplaying how demanding the work would have been with such few employees
- I was not asked much, they seemed pretty desperate for any work they could get and I was pressured into agreeing to start a week earlier than I wanted.

Anonymous Interview Candidate
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Soho House & Co in May 2023
I was invited to the first interview 1 week after applying online. This went well, was more of an informal chat and show around, I was told I would hear back about the next steps in the next few days. I received an automated rejection email that was not personalised and gave no feedback. I was then called. by an HR representative a few days later offering a second in-person interview - saying they had made a mistake. We discussed timings on the phone and I was promised an email with further details, which I never received. The second interview was in person with two people. It was over an hour long, informal/friendly, and asked questions about my experience and a few scenarios that could occur. As I hadn't received any information about the interview, I was not as prepared as I could have been and was unaware that I needed to present new ideas and concepts. Luckily, I had already thought of a few so was able to share on the spot. I believe this interview went well and both interviewers were friendly and easy to talk to despite this. I was told a decision would be made quickly and I would hear in the next few days. Over a week had gone by and I had assumed I was unsuccessful. I had to call the HR representative and ask for an update. I was rushed off the phone and told that it had been offered to another candidate and I would receive feedback. I still have not received anything and having to chase them for an answer was quite upsetting and demotivating when they had no reason as to why. I had a positive interview experience in-person, but the administration behind was incredibly disappointing and gave the vibe that they do not care.
- Tell me about your experience How would you retain members/bring in new members How do you look after your mental health Tell me a time when you have had to deal with difficult team members Who inspires you and why
