The interview process was extremely robotic and lacked any sense of humanity or empathy. The interviewer often interrupted for time checks, which is to a degree expected, but at the strangest times with made the flow incredibly awkward.
They were actually aggressive to a point with the language that I used. For example, I set up that I lead a team. I would then speak to work accomplishment and use “we”. They would again interrupt me to ensure that I meant “I” as if I were taking credit for work that someone else did. I explained that yes it was work that I was accountable for and ultimately delivered, however I always had the support of a team (from legal to analytics, etc. ).
I did not receive an offer which, truth be told, I was definitely okay with. Where I understand that this perhaps wasn’t the most creative of roles, I don’t want to work for a company whose first impression on talent is to be devoid of empathy or humanity.
