      No offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Nature Conservancy (Dallas, TX) in Dec 2024

      Interview

Within four days of submitting my application I received an email from a TNC recruiter. We scheduled a phone call, and had a lovely 45-minute exploratory conversations just a day later. Within 24 hours, I received both a compassionate voicemail and a thoughtful email letting me know TNC was moving forward with other candidates. The recruiters degree of compassion and consideration for my wellbeing throughout the process was unparalleled.

      Programs Manager Interview

      22 Dec 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Washington, DC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at The Nature Conservancy (Washington, DC) in Nov 2021

      Interview

Applied online. Received email from recruiter one month later to set up phone screen. 30-minute phone screen with hiring manager, then1-hr Zoom panel with four employees. Final interview was a 1-hr Zoom panel with Executive Director and others. Hiring manager began the final interview by telling me I made it that far because I was qualified for the position, and they wanted to get a feel if I was the right fit. I was told I'd be contacted within "a week or two" after the final interview. After two weeks, I sent a follow up email to the hiring manager and recruiter asking for feedback, to which there was no response. One month later they still have not communicated. This was a waste of 3 months. I can only assume their unprofessional decision to ghost the top candidate is a symptom of fear of a discrimination lawsuit, as the Chapter only has two people from racial minority groups employed out of at least 30.
