I applied online. I interviewed at The TJX Companies, Inc.
Interview
Very pleasant, upbeat phone call with the company recruiter. She was looking for candidates for one of their brands. It was a great call, she told me she would call me back the following week to schedule a call with another recruiter. No call.
I sent a professional letter thanking her and following up on her mention of another interview. SHE NEVER reached back.
Another example of a company "ghosting" job seekers. If you have the time to place the initial call, you have the time to answer follow-up correspondence and close communication.
Bad form. I'll avoid their stores as a customer as well.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The TJX Companies, Inc. (Boston, MA) in Aug 2022
Interview
Over the course of a month, with interviews set up that I had no say in the time or day, totaling approximately 8 hours of virtual interviews and phone calls:
1. Tedious application process
2. HireVue virtual interview on your own
3. Phone call with talent acquisition and mini-interview to gauge interest and feel out acceptable expectations
4. Virtual interview with direct report at regional level
5. Virtual interview with HR regional level
6. Virtual interview with zone directors/executives
7. Completely ghosted and no further communication whatsoever
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a situation and provide an example of developing talent in a previous role
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at The TJX Companies, Inc. (Philadelphia, PA) in Apr 2019
Interview
Applied on-line, I was one of 18 people that received a phone interview. Was told the top 3 candidates move on to the final interview.
The interviewer asked a standard set of questions. They seemed to be going thru the motions and didn't add talk much other than the straight forward questions. It was hard to read how I was doing during the interview as I didn't get much of a response to my answers.
