The interview process was consisted of four interviews spaced close to one week apart. Starting with TrueNas's recruiter, who performed the initial screening. Interactions with the recruiter were always pleasant and timely. The next two interviews were with the supervisor and manager. The first interview felt like a sort of meet and greet where I was able to get a better understanding of the position and attempt to showcase my qualifications. The second was more focused on technical ability and determining if my hard and soft skills would translate well into the role I was pursuing. For the final interview, an executive was brought in. He explained the companies culture, over arching ideology of how the company views the employee/employer relationship and I am assume gained his assessment of my ability to fit into that dynamic.
Overall, everyone that I met during the interview process was very kind. for how nerve racking the process is, there's not much they could've done to make me feel more at ease. My best suggestion to someone interviewing for a position at TrueNas is to utilize the time between interviews to learn as much as you can about the company and technology. Displaying your ability and eagerness to learn won't be lost on the interviewers.
