I had a call scheduled with the recruiter only a few days after applying. It was a great conversation and it looked to be a great fit. They were upfront with how long the interview process would take some time due to the number of applications. I was told to reach out in 2 weeks if I heard nothing back. I followed up with an email. Nothing. Completely ghosted with no explanation or even a rejection. A month has passed from the recruiter call to now. There is a lack of transparency with candidates they are interviewing despite this being one of their core values.

Interview
The hiring process is extensive and took about 2 months all in all, which can seem intimidating, but if you are confident and capable you have nothing to worry about. I applied online. A few weeks later, I was contacted for a 30 minute phone interview with a recruiter. Next was a 30 minute phone interview with the manager for the department, then a 1 hour video interview with the same manager. In between the second and third interviews was a take home assignment that took me about 3 hours to complete. The fourth and final interview was four hours long and I met with four different team members across different teams, with a 15 minute break in the middle. The last step in the interview process was providing references, before receiving an offer.

Interview
I interviewed with the recruiter, then the hiring manager & then I got the take home assignment. The last step was supposed to be a 4 hour interview with leadership but I didn’t make it that far. I perfected the take home assignment so the only reason I can think of why I didn’t get it is bc I am a minority. If you go on the website you can see the staff only had a handful of minorities. I guess they gave me a “chance” just to say they did for statistical purposes. I’m qualified with a bachelors degree & years of experience so there’s no reason why I didn’t move to the last round. I asked why & I got no response or course. So if you’re a minority, especially black, just know you’re probably not going to get a chance.
