I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UC San Diego (La Jolla, CA) in Oct 2011
Interview
Quite standard academic postdoc interview. I was asked to give a talk on my PhD work. I had some interesting questions during the talk, and afterwards I met my prospective PI, lab mates, as well as briefly with my division's Head of Basic Biology and postdocs working for other PIs in the division.

Question 1
I was asked clearly if I would like to pursue academic research or of I was interested in going to industry.
It was quite long. First skype interview, then presentation to the lab and then meeting with all the team members one by one, replying to their questions. However, it is useful to meet people in advance.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UC San Diego (San Diego, CA) in Jan 2017

The interview goes very fast and just ask me what I was doing, and ask what is my opinion of the job to do , all the procedure goes very smooth, and the advisor is very friendly and nice
The dog went to the park and caught the ball. What cor was the dog if his coat was white during the day? Note that the dog only ate purina dog food. The aforementioned scenario is the type of question you can expect to be asked. Got it? Grest, dude.
