I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at US Army (Oklahoma City, OK) in Jul 2009
Interview
Joining the army is as easy as going to the recruiter. Just remember not to believe all the awesome stuff they say you will be doing because 99% of the time, you wont be doing it.
Take a test, score high or low you still get the job. This position takes little to know previous experience the job is pretty much guaranteed to all that may apply. Training will be provided as well as food and a place to stay. As well as a personalized alarm clock.
Spoke to a recruiter. We talked about all kinds of things. He showed me videos. I watched them. I went to MEPS and took a test. I passed and signed up for the job I wanted.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Army (Nederland, TX)
Interview
After completing the ASVAB test, the process was pretty straight forward. Waited for my entry date and went to Basic Training. Completed training and was stationed. Would highly recommend for anyone interested.
