Interview
As an internal candidate I was actually put through a more rigorous interview process than external candidates. I met with the hiring manager, the program manager, the COO, and the VP of Operations and the VP of Sales. I had one on one interviews, phone interviews and business plan presentations. The entire process took 2 1/2 - 3 months before the position was offered to me.
