I applied through university. I interviewed at Veeva Systems (Philadelphia, PA) in Jan 2017
Interview
I had a drawn out and strange experience here which was essentially a huge waste of time. They took ~4 weeks to get back to me after each of the first two phone interviews, but seemed very eager to hire me at each point of contact. After ~5 phone interviews, including the case presentation, we set up a date for the final interview. A few days before, I got an automated email saying that they were no longer interested in me. I waited a day or two before reaching out to the HR woman I had been coordinating with (after months of interviewing me she couldn't reach out?) and was told they decided to go with a more technical candidate. I was never asked any questions about technical skills, so make sure to bring them up. Looking back after going through a fair amount of other companies' interview processes, their communication was sporadic and interviewers didn't feel cohesive. I was also not invited to an office location at any time, though I asked to be, so didn't know what the culture or environment was like which was a huge turn off.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Basic behavioral questions, lots of teamwork/communication questions
long, 6 interviews to get rejected after a personality test as the final round. The second round was a technical assessment, after which I had 4 more rounds with different people asking me pretty similar questions.
It was informal, quick and friendly, interview was around 30-45 minutes. Interview was given before the personality test. Personality test was quite exhausting, long and difficult. Replied to emails very quickly.
First step HR interview was a good experience. Recruiter was very friendly. 45min long - talking about your motivation for the role, your background, how you align with the role. I didn't get to the next stage because I didn't show enough alignment with the role.
