VS was holding a job fair. I walked in and told them I wanted to apply for a management position. They told me they had only one available. I filled out and application and submitted my resume and had an interview with one girl and asked me some fairly easy questions. I got a call back the next day to do another interview and this interview was a bit harder and I had to interview with one other girl and we took turns answering mainly scenario questions. The interview told us she would call us in two weeks and as we were walking out called me back to invite me to meet the store manager. I came back in to meet her and I felt as though she was very unprepared for the interview. She asks me "tell me about yourself" I tell her I'm a stay at home mom of two boys and she asks "where are you from"... and all I could think was it's on my resume.... she asks me if I'm dependable... I'm thinking do people actually say no to this question? I mean there's not much room for me to talk here... I didn't have any questions for her at the end of the interview I mean it was my 3rd one after all.. I don't think I would've came back if I didn't really want the job. I had the experience... and then I waited about a week and I got "the card" in the mail saying my experience is exceptional but there's no position that matches.. So perhaps I was overqualified? I'm not sure... My advice to store managers please have the resume handy when doing the interview... Luckily this won't affect my shopping habits, but may affect where I shop? not sure. They always expect you to be prepared for the interview but when they aren't it certainly leaves a bad taste in your mouth...
