I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Victoria's Secret (Santa Barbara, CA) in Jun 2010
Interview
This was in Santa Barbara, CA. I turned in an application around end of May, early June. I got a call and went to a group interview. My hiring manager called me around 4pm the same day. This process will depend on the store. Sometimes if the store is in a hurry, what happened to me will happen. If not, then the length of time depends on whether or not the hiring manager can get a hold of your references. MUST BE 2 PROFESSIONAL that is required. It would be a very good idea to have your references call the hiring manager instead so that there wont be any phone tags being played. The interview process is relatively easy, with straight forward and common sense questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions depend on which position you are being interviewed for, but the most common question between all the part time positions (which are sales associate, cashier, sales support) would be about loss prevention. For example, what is the benefit of a clean store? Questions like this will most likely be asked.
Hiring managers prioritize your personality, availability, and customer service mindset, looking for candidates who are friendly, adaptable, reliable, and comfortable engaging with customers, rather than focusing heavily on prior experience or technical skills.
Very easy, first a phone call then meeting in person. Took a while to be seen in person even after the scheduled meeting time, they had me just kind of stand in a corner for a while waiting for someone to become available.
