I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Visa Inc. (Bengaluru) in Nov 2023
Interview
The first round is Codility test, 4 problems is there on which I completed 3 problems and after that one virtual technical round(1 heap based coding problem + system design questions + java questions) and I have cleared the round. For 3rd round they requested to come to VISA office and the round is pure technical round( Java 17 features and Spring internal concepts deeper and HLD) and continued with 4th round with LLD with Technical manager and continued with 5th round with another technical manager, it is kind of about my current projects and about SDLC.
The 3rd, 4th and 5th happened in a single day from morning 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
I got a response from VISA recruitment team as you’re not selected and asked for the feedback with HR team. They said you’re not good at programming as per 3rd round and we wonder how you got selected in first 2 rounds. I aksed a question, then why you conducted next 2 rounds
(4, 5) and they said we conduct all set of interview rounds when it comes to on site.
They wasted my time and feedback is little bit personal to me while they said how you cleared first 2 rounds we don’t know.
General advice to the recruiters at VISA, you guys need to be careful to choose the words while you convey the negative feedback’s to the candidates. And also try to improve the quality of interview, MAANG type of interview deserves the MAANG level salary compensation.
For candidates, use this interview for practice.

I applied online. I interviewed at Visa Inc. (London, England) in Mar 2026
Interview
I went through the process twice for two separate applications, about 3–4 months apart. The steps were mainly LeetCode, system design, and cultural fit interviews. If you’re solid on most medium-level LeetCode problems, you should be fine.
The process itself isn’t particularly difficult, but I think it’s mostly a numbers game since there are a lot of candidates competing.
The negative part was the communication from HR: constant ghosting and timelines that were never respected. I only found out I had been rejected after my second follow-up asking for feedback, more than a month after the last interview, and only once I started sounding frustrated in my messages.
Applied through careers page, received link for OA. The assessment was on CodeSignal, has 4 questions. 2 are easy, 1 medium and 1 hard. I solved 3 questions completely, did't receive interview invite
