      Area Manager Interview

      29 Jan 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      San Antonio, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Whataburger (San Antonio, TX) in Jan 2019

      Interview

Started the process in the beginning of December 2018. Two phone screens, was flown out to McAllen Texas for an interview with and Regional and a Director of Operations. Then a panel interview was set up after a week went by in San Antonio. Was supposed to be 5 people to do the panel and turned out to be almost 20 in the room. In between the recruiters gave false timelines for follow up and call backs. After going through the process and learning more about the leadership at least for this particular market and I actually glad that we did not move forward with the process

      Anonymous interview candidate
      Pensacola, FL
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Whataburger (Pensacola, FL) in Mar 2020

      Interview

Got a call. Asked if I can make down to Florida in 3 days for a panel interview. It was a horrible experience. It was 7 of them and only two of them were actually nice. The others were in a “click” and it felt more like the movie mean girls. They would stare and then begin to whisper to each other. This company I’m sure will lose a lot of good talent and not hire good talent as they set the tone from the very beginning. To top it off they’ve never contacted me back. However I did not expect nothing less from them. Poor management from recruiters up to directors.

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Whataburger (Weslaco, TX) in Feb 2016

      Interview

HR not organized. Area Manager interviewed for area manager position with less education. They fear people with higher education. Set Questions for lower position nothing to do with position they advertised. They do not have the position advertised available. they wanted to have a pull of persons to fill lower management positions.
