I applied through a staffing agency for QA manger position. Interview was scheduled 2 days before. On the day of interview, HR called on 30 mins before to the scheduled Interview time and advised me to be on time. Though I was available on time, they made me to wait for 45 Mins for first round. No respect for time.
Before I attended the Interview, I had gone through feedback about the Company from other interviewees in this board. To my surprise all points highlighted earlier are 100% accurate.
First round was conducted by a person who is not in their employee. But at least has some knowledge about QA and its management process.
The person who took second round had attitude issue. He started his interview process with a contradicting note and was trying to showcase his superiority. At some point I felt that he is here not to take Interview but to fight with. He has no decency and doesn’t know how to behave with candidate during Interview process. He started validating my banking domain knowledge by a single Q How to open a Bank? and testing Q like what is Sustainability Testing, Difference between Test strategy and Test Plan, and Agile testing. When I was attempting Q on Agile in mid he started saying ‘Don’t teach me Agile. I know agile since 2003”. and said “By this time you should come to know that my interview is not easy to handle”
Though I enjoyed 45 mins session with this attitude guy, just felt sorry about How Testing became a field of Jokers where unqualified person in the field of testing can even attempt and dare to take interview of senior resources without knowing abc.. of testing.
Summary
1. They don’t have qualified staff to take Interview for QA ,So they hired someone from outside who is not in their Company payroll to take the Interview(First Round). Second round Interviewer doesn’t know what Qs needs to be asked so tried to fight,contradict to show case his supremacy.
2. No respect for Time Value.
My recommendation "Don't waste your valuable time by attending their Interview Process"
