Initial phone screening went well. 2nd/Final stage I would describe as strangely adversarial. They added a second interviewer last minute. The format was roughly - We will pitch the company for the first half then you talk the last half. I experienced multiple issues with this approach. I foolishly asked a clarifying question about 5 minutes into their pitch and they looked as though I was being rude. Then when it was my turn, I had very little to go off of. I was supposed to drive that half of the conversation, which made it difficult to articulate my value. Then they asked me to describe intercompany elimination entries. I described the way my company does it- which doesn't involve elimination entries. Then they asked a second time how I do them... Like I said, weirdly adversarial and technical. From my 30 minute interaction, I got the impression they would be the type to micromanage and/or be suspicious of their team.
