I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at afg& (New York, NY) in Feb 2018
Interview
The interview with the Account Director (the account lead I would've been working with) went quite well. She was courteous, attentive, and insightful. However, the interview with the CEO, Mr. Ginsberg was so distasteful and lackluster that I couldn't help but withdraw my application right after. Never have I ever been approached with racial bias in such an overt manner and felt shame. I walked into the office ready to discuss my previous experiences and understand the company. Yet, I was met with basic and demeaning questions like how I feel about North Korea based on the fact that I was Korean-American. I was cordial throughout the interview process as DEI was not a thing back then. I simply and politely withdrew my candidacy walking out of the office but wanted to leave a review here now so to prevent such an experience for anyone.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How do you feel about North Korea? (No joke, this was a question from CEO himself upon discovering that I am Korean American)
Can you send me writing samples? (CEO asking about my writing proficiency after making snarky remarks upon discussing my English degree and focus from Columbia. Never mind that I had successful years of working as an advertising professional in the past.)
This is totally not what happened. The interview did not go well and she would not have been hired and we think she knew that. There was some talk about North Korea but not the way she describes it.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at afg& (Barcelona) in Oct 2020
Interview
Applied through LinkedIn and was contacted shortly after. Had an initial conversation with the PM and the ECD online and and then a casual face-to-face interview with the ECD. After that, I got an offer.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at afg& (London, England) in Sept 2019
Interview
Haphazard - drove 14 hours for a 15 minute meeting that the client was late for and then had to leave early as he'd double booked. The rest was done over the phone and very rushed.

Question 1
Do you like dogs? Very important as that was the main client. And are you willing to work long hours?
