"Describe your design strategy." I have to write more because Glassdoor needs more than 5 words. To be clear, this is a ridiculous question as it suggests that design professionals have "their" strategy. In fact, there are many strategic approaches to design, which multiply when intermingled with various business, sales, and marketing strategies.

I described an instance in which I executed a strategic approach to an enterprise goal that balanced stakeholder input with customer centricity in context of the design process. It was clear she was not engaged as an active listener since she asked no follow up questions and simply nodded meaninglessly as she engaged in unrelated tasks on her own machine, which was painfully obvious based on the reflection on her glasses. I invested time and money to travel to Mumbai to meet the Chief. He had no background into my profile, let alone understand the effort I made to meet him. I don't know what the questions were if there were any. The whole duration now seems as vague as a ball of cotton.
