What's the "next big" market area or venture MSFT should get into? And why?

Our metro area has struggled for years trying to achieve an answer to our mass transit dilemmas. We need a better way to quickly move people, and we need a method for building the infrastructure so that it can be used within the next 5 years or so. Less

Asked several different ways and times: How do you get clients to buy into something that they do not want to do?

Not only do you not know what this “something” is; you don’t know who this client is, you don’t know what your relationship is like, you don’t know why they don’t want to do it, maybe it is their budget. Needless to say, there were a lot of “it depends” in my answers. My advice would be to rephrase the question and fill in the details. Respond with something like: “Do you mean how do you get an existing client of more than 5 years to buy into an aggressive online advertising strategy?” Then answer that question. Essentially ask your own questions and answer them it will be an easier way to go. Less

This is a stupid question. It is a disservice to the company to make up uninformed ideas, yet this seemed important to them. We can't discover new products without knowing what the market needs - anything else is just guessing, and that usually isn't productive or profitable. Less
