Interviewer:Discuss what all you will in a real life water heater controller if you were to add anything other than temperature sensor and flow rate valve? A: I would have level sensors and alarms to identify any interlock failures like overheating. Interviewer: but in the given test requirement why would you need a level sensor? (wasn't the question about additional sensors and not required sensors? do you want to stick to the test requirements or do you not want to stick to it. decide first plz)

i will add a timer so that after few mins automatically supply to the water heater will stop. Less

I don't believe there is just one architecture to consider and so my response was that a lot depends on the requirements. Every problem is different and one should not be stuck with just one way of solving a problem. For them this was the wrong answer. They use a cookie-cutter approach so they can re-use code. They are looking for an answer that corresponds this. One size fits all. Give them an answer that has lots of OO jargon and they will want to continue talking. Less
