Mostly I've been told that I'm not qualified enough or in rare occasions that I'm overqualified for what they could offer. (This is the instance that the interviewer thought it appropriate to tell me that the companies just didn't like me.) Less

I would ask the student to first take a deep breath and let's go through their days to see if there isn't a way we can find just little gaps in time for them to do schoolwork. I would also remind them of their goals and the fact that they are capable of reaching them and I'm here to help. Less
