I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Citco (Luxembourg (Luxembourg)) in July 2020.
Interview
Got a message on Linkedin from a recruitment agency and pushing for a job offer. Anyway, I accepted his request because I would like to check my value in the job market in the summer during the COVID. The interview process was first with the agency recruiter. A few days later, I had a phone call with the COO and he was 10 minutes late before the interview starts, not quite very professional. Besides, the phone quality was bad and I could hardly understand him, as he put the call on speaker. He asked me basic questions describing my previous job tasks and experiences. A week later, I had an interview with the Team Leader and the COO. Again, the call was via Whatsapp, both in his earphone with bad call quality and difficult to understand. This time, the Team Leader would like to know how good I am on Excel and what kind of accounting software I used to record the journal entries. The interview took 30 minutes as the Team Leader did not seem quite interested to ask me some technical questions on accounting. After this interview, I have not received any news from Citco and the recruitment agency. I believe that the Team Leader would like to hire a person who can manage the excel functions perfectly (VBA, Macro, etc.) to fit this role. However, the job offer mentioned "good knowledge in Microsoft Excel". Anyway, I would not accept the job offer as the COO was arriving late in the first interview and the team leader was not quite technical skilled in his position.
