    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Eat Club (Redwood City, CA) in Oct 2019

    Interview

The recruiter reached out and we had a phone screen that moved to a 30 min call with the sales manager who made a point to inform me he played college football and played in the NFL. He did point out I was older and asked if this would be problematic for me. Hmmm??? I thought this was strange, felt very much like they take a candidates age into account when hiring. The call went well enough to progress to an on site interview with the sales manager again and 2 AE's from the sales team. They were surprisingly arrogant for a company who essentially sells sandwiches. The 1st AE who was very junior read me questions from a script and was painfully unsatisfying, the 2nd AE was smug, cocky, and clearly didn't want to be interviewing me.
