I worked at HealthTap full-time (More than 3 years)

Friendly team, daily lunch and food provided, room to grow.

Horrific/abusive leadership. Get rid of them if you want the company to succeed. Dozens of employees have complained to the board, yet they are still in charge in 2020?

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees, rather than leadership only.

    Human Resources Coordinator Interview

    Accepted Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at HealthTap (Mountain View, CA (US)) in June 2019.

The interview was very casual and pretty standard, no curveball questions. We briefly went over my past work experience and how it relates to the job description. I was offered advice on how to get along with the team.

Company Updates

  • I was recruited to HealthTap as an Android Developer and came straight out of graduate school. I had been at Stony Brook University in NY and earned my graduate degree in electrical engineering. Now I’ve been at HealthTap for four and a half years so I’ve witnessed a lot of change. I still love the work I do but now I love where I do it even more. Our deadlines & targets are clear, every year we are launching something new to market, and I always feel like there’s a lot to do while still having the room to constantly improve quality. My favorite part of my job is that Android is on an open platform so I get to utilize a lot of enterprises to integrate systems and medical devices. When I’m not working, I stay #healthierhappierlonger by playing video games, watching movies, hiking when it isn’t raining, hunting Pokémon, and playing badminton (which I played through high school and as an undergrad at Beijing Institute of Technology). #IAmHealthTap -Wuhao Ouyang, Android Developer

  • I’m originally from Illinois where I studied Civil Engineering at the University of Illinois. I lived in Colorado for a year before making my way to California and, eventually, to HealthTap. The people who work at HealthTap are the best. Everyone here seems to genuinely care about making a positive difference in the world. It's a real privilege to be part of a company that is both mission-driven and impactful. At HealthTap, #healthierhappierlonger is more than just a tagline, it’s a core value of the people who work here. I enjoy maintaining physical health through weightlifting, running, and hiking. Recently, I've been trying to pay much closer attention to my diet as well (hard to do around so much amazing Bay Area food!) When I'm not working, I enjoy hiking, working out, sketching, and listening to podcasts. #IAmHealthTap -Jackrin “Jack” Walsh, Customer Success Specialist
