    Technical Support Engineer Interview

    Anonymous Interview Candidate in Singapore
    Declined Offer
    Positive Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Palo Alto Networks (Singapore) in January 2015.

    Interview

Just went for the phone screening only and declined due to other offer. Mostly the head hunter (non-technical) conduct the screening interview by asking 10 questions. If you passed the screening, there will be 1:1 with the technical person and the manager to assess behavior

    Interview Questions

    • Mostly networking glossary:
      1. what is the size of a typical IP header?
      2. name 3 component inside the IP header
      3. process of a TCP handshake
      4. what is NAT? sNAT, pNAT?
      5. what is 404, 408, 200?
      6. which one is more secure SSL or VPN (tricky questions as they are not mutually related)
      7. what is the difference between an HIDS and a NIDS? (security)   Answer Question
