What they don’t tell you before joining, is that that the workplace culture is toxic. This company is full of people with big egos. I have never felt so uncomfortable in meetings with my own team (the team lead was one of the worst narcissistic sociopaths I have ever had to work with , constantly shooting me down and making me feel like I have no value) — and in meetings across different departments it was the similar. It seems as though each department is competing against each other instead of working together to build the best experience for customers. On top of that, they fire people at random, sometimes entire teams with no good reason. They fire people just days before they are set to pass probation, again with no concrete reason. They struggle to retain people as well, as it’s hard survive such a negative workplace for long. All in all, this was one of the worst placed I have ever been employed at. By week two I was breaking down in tears and having panic attacks. By the end of my first month, I was already considering finding another job and actively doing interviews to escape and minimize the damage to my mental health.
